Mission
Our mission at Genesis One 11 Lawn Care is first and foremost to honor God in our business.
The name Genesis One 11 shows that we believe God created the world and all that is in it. Genesis 1:11 states, “and God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.” This would be the third day of creation. So, God made the Garden of Eden, with grass, and trees and all sorts of plants in it.
On the sixth day of creation, he made man. Later, in Genesis 2:15 it says, “And the Lord God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.” This is where Adam got a job from God. Adam was the world’s first lawn guy. Not only that, but he was God’s lawn guy. Talk about pressure.
The work Adam did in God’s own garden was to honor God. Adam would do a good job to show God how much he loved him. In the same way, we here at Genesis One 11 Lawn Care seek to honor God with our labor on your lawns. Just as it says in Colossians 3:23, “And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men.” This is not to say that we don’t do work for men, but we should seek to do work that is done so well that it pleases God, who has a higher standard than men. Even when we do work for men.
This is the mission of Genesis One 11 Lawn Care; To do work on your lawn and landscaping so well that it would be pleasing to God, because of the craftsmanship and attention to detail we provide.
But our most important mission is...
To boldly profess God to the world. God loved us so much, that even though we sinned and turned away from God, he still found a way to have a relationship with us, through his son, Jesus. We want the world to experience that same relationship.
Jesus, who was born of a virgin, and lived a life without sin was sacrificed on a cross only to be raised three days later as payment for our sins. This payment is given freely to anyone who will acknowledge that they are a sinner incapable of saving themselves from an eternity in hell and needs Jesus to save them. By asking God to forgive you of your sins and accepting Jesus into your heart as your lord and savior, you will once again be able to have a relationship with God in Heaven, through the payment of Jesus.
So, if we can help you with your lawn and landscape needs, that would be wonderful. However, if we can help you to understand the love of God and the gift of Jesus, that would be the greatest thing we could ever do for you. Either way, we would love to hear from you at Genesis One 11 Lawn Care.
